Breast Reconstruction Patient 31

This 67-year-old female requested consideration for bilateral prophylactic mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. She had multiple abnormal breast biopsies and was at high risk for developing breast cancer in the future. She underwent prophylactic skin and nipple sparing mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction with silicone implants.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 30

This 48-year old female had previously undergone a bilateral mastectomy and was ready to proceed with breast reconstruction. She underwent a staged reconstruction, first with placement of tissue expanders and ADM, followed by placement of permanent silicone implants. She completed her reconstruction with bilateral nipple tattooing and nipple reconstruction.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 29

This 69 year old female had a left breast cancer and was treated elsewhere. She was unhappy with her reconstruction. She underwent mastopexy of the right breast and removal of the implant. The left breast reconstruction was revised with a mastopexy and placement of a silicone implant. The left nipple reconstruction was performed with a local flap and areolar skin graft from the right breast.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 28

This 58-year old female underwent right mastectomy for breast cancer and failed immediate reconstruction elsewhere. She underwent delayed reconstruction as a multi-stage procedure. First she had a right breast tissue expander and ADM placed, followed by replacement of the expander with permanent silicone implant. For symmetry she then underwent a right breast capsulorraphy, left mastopexy and silicone implant. She finished her reconstruction with right nipple reconstruction, tattoo and structural fat grafting of the upper pole of the right breast.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 27

This 47-year old female was diagnosed with left breast cancer and was interested in immediate breast reconstruction. She underwent skin sparing left mastectomy and placement of tissue expander and ADM and later placement of a permanent implant. She completed her reconstruction with right breast augmentation for symmetry and left nipple reconstruction and tattooing of the nipple.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 26

This 33-year old female with left breast cancer elected to undergo bilateral mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with implants. She later underwent nipple reconstruction and tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 25

This 48-year old female was diagnosed with left breast cancer. She underwent immediate reconstruction with first placement of a tissue expander and ADM (Acellular Dermal Matrix) followed by placement of a permanent implant after her tissue expansion was complete. She completed her reconstruction with right breast mastopexy for symmetry, left nipple tattoo and nipple reconstruction.

This 68 year old female with right breast cancer underwent mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with pedicled TRAM flap. She completed her reconstruction with nipple reconstruction and tattoo.

This 43-year old female with a left breast cancer was interested in mastectomy and reconstruction. She had a left mastectomy and reconstruction with a pedicled TRAM flap and nipple reconstruction followed by a right breast mastopexy for symmetry.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 16

This 30-year old female had a previous left breast mastectomy. She had a strong family history of breast cancer and wanted reconstruction for the left breast and consideration for prophylactic right breast mastectomy and reconstruction. She underwent prophylactic right breast mastectomy and bilateral breast reconstruction with latissimus flap, saline implants, nipple reconstruction and nipple and areolar tattoo.

This 47 year old female previously had breast reconstruction with tissue expanders and saline implants. Several years after this, she wanted to see what could be done to improve the appearance of her breasts. She underwent revision of her breast reconstruction with bilateral Latissimus flaps, nipple reconstruction and nipple tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 14

This 41-year old female underwent mastectomy for left breast cancer. When her cancer treatments were completed she was interested in a left breast reconstruction as she was tired of wearing a prosthesis. She underwent a staged reconstruction, with Latissimus flap and tissue expander placement. After her tissue expansion she had her permanent implant placed. She then completed her reconstruction with a right breast mastopexy for symmetry and left nipple reconstruction with a free nipple graft and nipple tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 13

This 62-year old female with previous augmentation, was diagnosed with a left breast cancer. She underwent mastectomy and reconstruction with a Latissimus flap and implant. She later had a revisionary procedure of her augment on the right breast for symmetry and left nipple reconstruction with nipple tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 12

This 42 year old female was treated for her left breast cancer elsewhere and was ready to proceed with reconstruction. She underwent Latissimus flap and placement of a silicone implant on the left and later had right breast reconstruction with Latissimus and silicone implant. She finished her reconstruction with bilateral nipple reconstruction and nipple tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 11

This 64-year old female previously had a right mastectomy for breast cancer. She also underwent multiple mammograms and biopsies on the left breast. She requested prophylactic left breast mastectomy and bilateral breast reconstruction. She underwent a nipple sparing mastectomy of the left and placement of ADM and tissue expander. She then had a right breast reconstruction with a Latissimus flap and tissue expander. She later had her expanders replaced with silicone implants and a right nipple reconstruction and tattoo.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 10

This 31-year old female had a strong family history of cancer and had multiple breast biopsies that left her with a deformed breast. She elected to undergo prophylactic bilateral mastectomy to reduce her chances of developing breast cancer. She underwent bilateral saline implant based breast reconstruction.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 9

This 46 year old female requested intervention for chronic breast pain associated with her severe fibocystic breast disease. She was unable to undergo standard breast cancer screening procedures and elected to proceed with prophylactic mastectomy and breast reconstruction with submuscular implants and free nipple grafts.

Breast Reconstruction Patient 8

This 16 year old female had a significant breast asymmetry. She suffered from back and shoulder pain from an abnormally large right breast and a small constricted left breast. She underwent a staged procedure, first with a right breast reduction and left breast mastopexy and placement of a tissue expander. The final surgery corrected the asymmetry with placement of a permanent left breast silicone implant.

This 17-year old female struggled with a severe breast asymmetry since the age of 13. She was active and wanted her breasts to be more symmetric. She underwent right breast augmentation and mastopexy of the left breast.

This 16-year old female presented with a severe asymmetry of her breast development. She underwent a reduction of the right breast and was very happy with her results.

This 18-year-old female had severe breast asymmetry and lack of development in her left breast. She approached me, saying that she wanted to look ‘normal.’ Her reconstruction procedure included a left augment and right mastopexy, with which she stated postoperatively that she was very pleased.

This 56-year-old had undergone a right lumpectomy and radiation for right breast cancer. She had originally been an A-cup bra size, but was left with very little breast tissue afterwards. The reconstruction procedure included a left augment mastopexy and a right silicone implant placement.

This 42-year-old woman had undergone a left breast lumpectomy. She had requested a double mastectomy and was seeking reconstruction with implants. She is pleased with her result.

This 49-year-old breast cancer patient underwent a right lumpectomy and radiation, which, she said, left her ‘really uneven’ and about which she was very self-conscious. A left mastopexy and right breast reconstruction procedure were performed to correct her breast asymmetry.
